Day By Day Activities

Day 1: Arrival, pick up & Transfer to Kibale NP
Upon your arrival at the airport, you will be welcomed and picked by our safari guide who will brief you about the safari and then start the journey to Kibale national park in western Uganda. The journey takes about 5 to 6 hours’ drive through Mityana, Mubende and Fort portal. On your way you will have your en-route lunch in Fort portal, enjoy great views of the beautiful scenery, landscapes, tea plantations, crater lakes, countryside, Rwenzori Mountain ranges among others. Upon your arrival in the park, you will check in at Kibale forest camp for your dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2: Chimpanzee trekking and Bigodi swamp walk
After having your early morning breakfast, you will meet up with your driver guide to transfer to Kanyachu visitors center for briefing about the rules and regulations to follow during the trekking. After the briefing you will be subdivided into groups of people where each group will be allocated a chimpanzee family with the park guide leading the way. Trekking takes about 30 minutes to 4 hours depending on where the chimpanzees are located because they like to move from one place to another in search for food. Once the chimpanzees are located you will be allowed to spend one hour with them in their natural habitat which gives you a chance to take pictures, feed, mate, rest, fight, play, record videos among others. You will trek back to the park headquarters and your driver guide will return you back to the lodge for lunch. Later you will go for Bigodi swamp walk where you will be able to view different primates and wildlife species. Dinner and overnight at Kibale forest camp.

Day 3: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth NP & Evening game drive
After your breakfast, you will check out of the lodge and meet up with your driver guide to transfer you Queen Elizabeth national park. On your way you will enjoy great views of crater lakes, tea plantations, farmlands among others. Upon arrival in the park you will check in at the lodge for your lunch and relaxation. In the evening you will go for a game drive in the park where you will be able to view different animals like buffaloes, elephants, Uganda kobs, waterbucks, warthogs among others. Drive back to the lodge for your dinner and overnight stay at Buffalo safari lodge.

Day 4: Game drive and Boat cruise
After your early morning game drive, you will embark on the morning game drive where you will view wild animals when are mostly active. Animals such as elephants, buffaloes, warthogs, lions, waterbucks among others. Return to the lodge for your lunch. After your lunch you will transferred to landing site near Mweya lodge for a 2 hours boat cruise along the Kazinga channel which connects Lake Gorge to Lake Edward enjoy viewing large herds of hippos and crocodiles. Return to the lodge for your dinner and overnight stay at Buffalo safari lodge.

Day 5: Transfer back to Kampala
After a relaxed breakfast, you will check out of the lodge and meet up with your driver guide and embark on your journey back to Kampala. You will have your en-route lunch in Mbarara city then proceed to Kayabwe equator, enjoy taking pictures, sight viewing then finally Kampala. Proceed to Entebbe international airport for your departure back home.
